Centre for NAI – Rollback / De-Program Script (Draft)
Purpose: on request, dissolve or silence the inner companion; prioritize safety and consent.
Pre-brief (say in your own words)
- “We’re going to gently quiet or dissolve the companion you created. You stay in control, can pause/stop anytime.”
- “We’ll keep this simple, respectful, and reversible if you ever choose to recreate later.”
Confirm consent. Quick check-in on current state; if distressed, ground first.
Grounding
“Feel your feet, your seat, your breath… you’re here, safe, and in control.”
Dissolve / Quiet
“Bring the sense of that companion to mind, at a distance. Notice it is separate from you.”
“Thank it for its help. Let it know it is not needed now.”
Choose the client’s preference:
- Quiet: “Invite it to rest in silence, only returning if you explicitly invite it.”
- Dissolve: “Imagine it gently dissolving into light/mist and fading away, leaving you clear and steady.”
“As it quiets/dissolves, you feel your own space becoming clear and calm. You are whole and in charge.”
Seal & Boundary
“Place a boundary: it cannot return without your explicit invitation. Your mind is your space.”
“If you ever want a companion again, you can choose to create one anew, safely and on your terms.”
Closure / Grounding
“Feel your breath, your hands, your feet. Notice the room. When ready, open your eyes.”
Debrief
- Ask: “How do you feel now? Clearer? Any residue or discomfort?”
- If any lingering imagery, repeat dissolve/quiet brief step.
- Remind: it will not return unless explicitly invited; you are in control.
Notes
- Keep it brief; avoid suggesting new content.
- If distress escalates, pause, ground, and consider referral to appropriate support.
