- Consent & Autonomy
- Obtain informed consent; client can pause/stop anytime.
- No covert suggestions; no hidden recording.
- Scope & Boundaries
- Non-clinical wellness/creativity support only.
- Recognize red flags/contraindications; refer out when clinical needs appear.
- Safety
- Screen before sessions; abort if unsafe; use safe words/gestures.
- Provide rollback/de-program option on request; prioritize client wellbeing.
- Reversibility
- Every creation protocol pairs with a rollback path; honor any request to dissolve/quiet the companion.
- Privacy
- Protect client data; only record with explicit permission; delete on request per agreement.
- Transparency
- Explain session structure, risks, limits, and aftercare; avoid exaggerated claims.
- Competence
- Practice within training; seek supervision/mentorship; stay within jurisdictional laws.
- Integrity
- No manipulation for practitioner gain; avoid dual relationships that impair judgment.
- Aftercare & Escalation
- Offer aftercare guidance and check-ins; escalate or refer to licensed professionals if distress arises.
- Accountability
- Accept feedback/supervision; document issues; improve processes; uphold this code.
